Our Story
We are an alternative clothing shop based in Keswick, Cumbria, the heart of The Lake District. At The Stripey Sheep, we celebrate beautiful & colourful fabrics, & the stories behind each piece. We have partnered with the same small scale mostly family run businesses in India for over 15 years. We pay a fair price for our products in India, they are not mass produced. Our relationship with our suppliers is fair & authentic.
Our shop offers a unique collection of modern-chic, vintage & bohemian clothing, accessories, & gifts sourced from artisans in India & The Lake District.
Our items are individually chosen & unique. Discover our curated selection & embrace clothes that simply feel great to wear. You will find that many of our items are truly one off's - as each piece of fabric can be totally different.
Our Products
We take pride in offering beautiful items that resonate with the spirit of individuality & the freedom of expression. From vibrant clothing to stunning accessories, each of our products tell a story. We also believe in sustainable practices. Many of our clothes are made with recycled sari fabrics sourced from India. We believe anything can be repurposed, so you will find in our 'Imperfectly Perfect' section a selection of beautiful items that have either been fixed or re-fashioned.

Locality
Find us in The Lake District
We are an independent shop located in Keswick, Cumbria. The owner Sally was born here & is a crafter herself. Several of our items are hand crafted by her here amongst the mountains. You will notice that many of our items have been photographed by Sally amongst the infamous Lake District Scenery. She believes that clothing should be both stylish and functional. Our products are loved & designed to enhance your everyday life, providing versatility and comfort without compromising on aesthetic.
